Economics 101

The only way for any business to increase profitability is to reduce costs or increase efficiency or put up prices.

There's nothing that we have to purchase that isn't rising in cost.

Every possible efficiency has been adopted just to survive this far.

There's no profit in hiring staff and no profit in expanding the business.

DEFRA's regulations were written without even the basic knowledge of business or economics

DEFRA who do not have to be concerned with profits, costs or efficiency developed a set of regulations to justify a pointless and unworkable rating system.

DEFRA do not have to be concerned with the consequences of driving catteries out of business through increased costs, decreased efficiency and reduced profits.

DEFRA are not concerned with having to pass on the cost of their regulations to our customers, working longer hours or doing stupid things for DEFRA while reducing animal welfare and gaining absolutely nothing for ourselves.
