Post Office vs DEFRA (Part 2)

One of my favourite scenes in Mr Bates vs The Post Office is when one of the post office victims asks the investigator how they could sleep at night?

And this is a crucial question for the dramatisation because anyone applying for job that requires investigation, persecution and prosecution only appeals to people with a variety of sociopathic personality disorders or the pshycopathy to develop them.

DEFRA_100

The chasm between those who provide for themselves by working and those who are parasitic and unproductive need to be reminded of their position and role in society.

Cattery & Kennel owners live under the weight of responsibility from the moment they wake to the moment they fall asleep every day of the week and every day of the year - some never get a break and never get a holiday and lose income if they do.
So, to be told how to run their business by an outfit like DEFRA who have no responsibility for their own decisions and a track record of failed rulings for every other sector under their control is a joke.

DEFRA could not have written so many ridiculous regulations if they had consulted with anyone in our sector

  • DEFRA's arrogance caused them believe that they could write our regulations without contacing anyone in our sector.
  • DEFRA's arrogance is the cause of all of their mistakes.
  • DEFRA's arrogance is the reason they won’t admit or fix their mistakes.

DEFRA has had a disastrous impact on every sector they’ve been involved in, but in 2019 they brought the same chaos and ineptitude to catteries and kennels that they had already inflicted on the environment, farming & rural affairs.

  • DEFRA added an unnecessary layer of anxiety and insecurity to eveyone in our industry that did not exist before 2019.
  • Prior to 2019 neither DEFRA or the CSFG had any say in our regulations.
  • Prior to 2019 no local authority inspector thought that abusing business owners would fly - But in 2019 many assumed the power to make up regulations, close catteries and kennels and not have to provide any legitimate justification or show any interest in the effect or the consequences for the animals or the public.
  • Prior to 2019, we were not subject to the whims of local authority inspectors and local authority inspectors did not need any guidance or training to understand the regulations.
  • Prior to 2019, local authority inspectors didn't need to be qualified to engage in public interactions and did not need to develop interpersonal skills to arrive at our homes with no respect for business or the economy and no interest in what needs to be in place for tourism to function.

This discussion of the Post Office fiasco and the DEFRA debacle is covered in ten short articles:
